A Mayor Made to Move Scotia Forward
A Mayor Who Finds Solutions Over Dissolution
A Mayor for all the People

Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.

I have always believed that government should reflect the people it serves, not a burden upon them. Government exists to serve its residents, listen to their concerns, respond to their needs, and work responsibly to build a stronger future for the entire community.  For the past 4 years I have governed from a set of principles and will continue to do so.

My Governing Principles

  • Integrity — Doing what is right, even when no one is watching, and remaining accountable for our actions.

  • Honesty — Communicating openly, speaking truthfully, and building trust through our words and deeds.

  • Morality — Upholding strong values and making decisions with fairness, respect, and a sense of responsibility to others.

  • Ethical Leadership — Maintaining high standards of conduct, treating people fairly, and ensuring that decisions are guided by principle rather than personal interest.

  • Inclusion — Ensuring that every resident has a voice not just the loudest and that all members of our community are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Active Listening — Engaging with residents, hearing their concerns, considering their ideas, and turning constructive feedback into meaningful action.

Leadership Through Experience

  • Over the past four years, I have learned that you will rarely make everyone happy, and that governing often requires making difficult decisions. Not everyone will agree with every choice, and that is a reality of public service.

  • What matters is that we govern for the people, make informed decisions based on facts and thoughtful consideration, and always keep the best interests of our community at the forefront. Leadership requires listening to different perspectives, being willing to compromise when appropriate, and finding common ground without losing sight of our core principles.

  • You may not always please everyone, but if you approach every decision with integrity, remain accountable to the people you serve, and work toward what is best for the community as a whole, you can be confident that you are doing the job for the right reasons.

  • As your mayor I have governed for all the people.  Not just the ones who make the most noise, not just those who agree, but for all of the over the 7.500 residents in our village. Protecting the services people value and working to develop partnerships to keep our services affordable.

  • Good government is not about making everyone happy. It is about making responsible decisions, earning the public's trust, and doing what is right for the people you serve.
